Static with a sort of jackhammer pace at 107. 9 on the fm side of the radio dial. Recorded from a digital tuner, with a quick flip to 87. 5 fm then back to the 107. 9 static. Definitely qualifies as noise.

Static from the 810 khz frequency of the am radio band recorded from a digital receiver. Has a sort of submarine suggestive hollow quality.

Some generative wildfire sfx made with sunvox. The crackling sounds were made by taking some highpassed white noise, ring modulating it with some more white noise, and then using a noise gate to usilate the loudest 'crackles'. The rumbling was created using lowpassed white noise, and the wind was made by bandpassing white noise with a high resonance and randomly sliding the filter frequency. Everything was sent into a reverb and a stereo expander.

A classic wind sound made with audacity, generated some brown noise, applied a script to modulate the volume and added some sounds with my mouth ^ ^.

A bunch of weird and hopefully interesting noises. Created using the korg electribe 2 synthesis engine with alot of modulations and asynchron patterns. Post-processing in cubase. Out- to wave folder and out+ to cv in on vco. The bass drum like sound is another story. But modulated by a nlc sloth. . .

I created this using digital synthesizers. I lost the presets to this so i can't say exactly how it was created, but eventually i'll create a new version and describe the process. It's basically multiple layers of very grainy (like sparklers or vinyl) noise processed through filters modulated by some kind of noise.

Digital radio tuned to a cell station, cw modulation. Makes a spacey sound, good for ambient spaceship fx. Recorded with sdr# software and rtl dvb dongle tuner.

Modulating a full wave rectifier at audio rate. Fixed modulating frequency. 2. I mix my the output of my two osc and clockmy clock divider with that and take /2 to mixer. Of particular note is the noise bleed present in some hexinverter diy products as discussed on the muffwiggler forum. Patch on a large modular analog synth, mainly doepfer but with some sputnik and intellijel modules. Sounds very arp 2600-ish, a soundcape reminiscent of birdsong and tweets. Mainly tuned filters seeded with pink noise.

An old recording of a metal utility rack being raked by another metal piece. I think this was captured with a cheap olympus digital recorder, thus the big noise floor. I was getting some neat percussive sounds modulating in the soundhack morphagene. Feel free to use as you like!.

This is a solo acoustic slide guitar noodling round with a country-ish melody. I've added some splices here and there to make it easier to navigate. Quite good fun to modulate the position and gene size to create some eerie rhythmical effects. Have fun!.

The reel used in my second reel play recording, a series in which i try to find out whether or not i should keep my modules. These are four guitar recordings, pretty straightforward, but i just thought they sounded nice together.

Noise of a solar power dc-ac inverter on a sunny day. A static hum with some kind of a rhythmic modulation. Sometimes other noises like a bird singing outside, however mostly the pure sound of the inverter. Recorded x/y stereo with at4041 mics into a pmd661 recorder. Eqed in fabfilter, there used to be a sine beep at 15. 8khz, inaudible for many people but it would have been even more annoying for those who can still hear it.

This is a remix of oceas 8th loop at 130bpm, the samples in this pack were made mostly by running the original loop through a custom plugin i made with synthedit. The general idea of the plugin is to seperate the incoming audio into 8 seperate channels using high-resonance bandpass filters, then run each of the 8 channels through its own special effect including reverb, delay, harmonic generation, ring modulation, modulation of the original signal by the harmonic generation signal out, and another reverb.

The semi random trigger is really two triggers connected to an or gate. Pitch is from analogue systems rs-40 (sample/hold and noise). I can listen to this for a looong time. Retro sound.

It sounds a lot like someone screaming/roaring into a microphone, but it's actually a roland juno-6 played through various fx pedals (boss metal zone, boss xtortion, boss me-30 on ring mod setting, danelectro fish & chips, and a sprinkling of various other fx pedals throughout the recording). Futuristic mechshop atmosphere created inside flstudio with filtered white noise generators, flstudio wasp, pitch envelopes, channel gain automation plus lashings of reverb for effect. Each one of the nonsensical announcements at the start are entirely synthetic. They're text to speech, done on-the-fly, with pre-fader pitch modulation embedded in automation track. No synths were harmed in the making of this cacophany.

Acid bass: 110 bpm c2 note, not your typical saw/square basslines. High sweeping filters in parallel with lfo routed to certin parts sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Random presets, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down. Really simple patch. Cv from nlc sloth to quantizer (doepfer a-156), via attenuverter. Triggers from doepfer a-160(161). But a tone is only generated if there is a change in cv from sloth. Its not 100% generative :-) first there is no cv connected to the oscillators. I connect them one at a time. The noise is also controlled by the same sloth. The analog delay is connected to barton musical circuits (bmc) 4 quadrant multiplier and panner acting as a panner, controlled by nlc jerk off (still a sick name on a great module). The ehh drum sound is generated by bmc decaying analog noise.
